The type of personal information we collect 

We currently collect and process the following information:

• Home address (or address where work is to be carried out)
• Telephone and/or mobile number
• E-mail address

How we get the personal information and why we have it

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:

• To contact you to arrange details relating to the agreed work or pre-work (e.g. for the purpose of quoting).
• Sending and receiving correspondence including quotes, invoices and receipts.
• Images of the work to be undertaken and the finished work for the purposes of validation.

We use the information that you have given us in order to allow. 

• Us to contact you regarding any aspect of the agreed work or pre-work.
• To be able to travel to the property to conduct any aspect of work or pre-work (e.g. for the purpose of quoting) to be undertaken.
• Sending and receiving correspondence including quotes, invoices and receipts
• Images of the work to be undertaken and the finished work.

We may share this information with any pre-agreed subcontractors or in the event that you wish materials (for example paint) to be delivered to your address.

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:

Contractual obligation: This includes pre-working agreements to quote for work as well as the work itself if agreed. This information will be kept for 2 years if the work is undertaken and will be deleted after 1 month if work is not agreed after quoting. This also includes the right to keep images of pre-work and completed work for the purposes of validation of the work undertaken.

How we store your personal information 

Your information is securely stored. 

We keep your name, address and work related images for 2 years (if the work is undertaken) or 1 month (if the quote is not agreed). We will then dispose your information by destroying hard copy information by shredding and permanently deleting any digital copy of that information.

Please note that ‘agreement of the quote’ is taken at the point that the deposit for the work is received.

Your data protection rights

Under data protection law, you have rights including:

Your right of access - You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information. 

Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete. 

Your right to erasure - You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances (ie not relating to contractual obligation).

Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances. 

Your right to object to processing - You have the the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
